June of 2022 we unexpectedly lost our Jo Buttons cat and our hearts were broken. In August I knew I needed to open my heart and home to a potential companion for Jo Buttons ‘s biological daughter, Pippin. I immediately went to the CAT page and started looking. All the cats were adorable and darling but it wasn’t until I saw a photo labeled “Bits” that my heart skipped a beat. I clicked through to read his bio and was smitten. I found a link to his incredible foster Momma’s Instagram and saw some more photos at which point I was fully in. I went through the initial part of the process and was able to face time him and his INCREDIBLE foster Momma. In just about a week I was bringing him home. I was nervous and excited and meeting him just cemented all my feelings for him. He quickly adapted to little brotherhood and harassed Pippin into loving him. He even gets our old man Boo to play with him through sheer gentle persistence. We call him Fritz Bits and he is the light of our lives. Pippin was a very shy cat but she and Fritz romp up and down the hallway, on the cat perches and across the beds. They love each other so much. Fritz snuggles with us, loves to be held and delights us everyday. Every night as I carry him to bed (his choice!) I tell him thank you for being my boy. When my grandson and I were talking about Fritz and Pippin and Boo my grandson said “it sounds like Fritz has been good for everyone”. And he truly has. We are so thankful to CAT.
