Priscilla was adopted from CAT around 7 years ago during a Black Friday sponsored adoption event. I waited in a line outside in the cold for what seemed like hours. (But adoption was free that day and good things are worth the wait!) I rushed to the kittens when it was my turn to enter and picked out a small male kitten that was exactly what I thought I wanted. Before completing my adoption I decided to check out the adult cats because my best friend made me promise to give them a chance since they have a harder time finding a home.
I walk up the stairs to tour the adult cats then suddenly I see her. The most magical looking cat I’d ever seen. She has one gold and one blue eye. Long fluffy toe hair and a Queen B personality. I had to meet her. She literally chose me. I’d never had an experience with an animal like that before.
Priscilla now lives in an only pet household with no children and she is treated like the queen she is. I can’t imagine a life without her. Every Christmas I design a Christmas card with an image of her. Every summer she gets harnessed and supervised yard time. During the loneliness of Covid she kept me company and full of love. Thank you so much to the sponsor who paid for her adoption fees. You have no idea how much joy she has given to me over the years. (The little kitten was adopted by a lovely couple that was standing in line ahead of me.)
