Dawn’s Story

We got O.J. Squeezy (formerly Wilder) in September of 2014 from CAT after our elderly girl kitty passed away, leaving her sister lonely. Squeezy was the first cat I saw when I walked in to look at cats and he squeaked his meow at me. I told him I’d be back and went around looking at them all. When I came back he meowed at me again. I was asked if I’d like to play with him in a room. I did and he showed me how he loved to chase balls (something he only did to impress me once – never did it again once I got him home). He loves me unconditionally, even now when we have to give him liquid medicine twice a day for a fungal infection he’s had for a few years.

We got Tito (formerly Xavier) in July of 2021 in the middle of the pandemic. O.J. Squeezy and I had a Zoom meeting with CAT to make sure we were a good fit (Squeezy sat on my lap through it). Tito was brought to the front door of CAT and left in a cardboard carrier outside, and I rushed out of my car and got him to take him home. He cried the entire way home but was very excited to meet Squeezy. They are now very good friends. We can’t imagine life without cats and our boys are the bestest boys! Thank you so much!
