I had worked as a CVT for 10 years in mixed practice and I was emotionally and physically done. I saw that CAT was looking for a CVT so decided to apply for the job. At my interview, I literally begged for the job…I did all of the things you aren’t supposed to do at a job interview.
I got the job. It was the best job ever. I never woke up dreading to go to work and the five years I spent in the CAT hospital kept me engaged, curious and always trying to figure out a new way to help the cats in our care, whether it was a medical procedure or ideas for environmental stimulation. The team was amazing and our purpose was so fulfilling.
My husband took early retirement and we moved to Mexico. The only thing I miss is my job. If I hadn’t been hired I’m not sure where I’d be today as I have no clue what else I’d be suited for. I loved helping to save cats and CAT helped save me.
