Cat Adoption Team’s annual Whisker Wonderland is going virtual for 2020, and we’re excited to announce a special raffle as part of this year’s event! One lucky winner will work with the creative team behind OwlKitty to put the winner’s cat into a video clip.
So who is OwlKitty? You may have seen this fluffy black cat in parody clips of your favorite films and TV shows. But before she was an Internet icon, she was just a little kitten looking for a loving home.
When Olivia Boone and Tibo Charropin relocated to Portland from New York City with their tabby cat Juliette, they decided it was time to add another feline to the family. After searching online, the couple found and fell in love with a tiny black kitten who was being cared for in a CAT foster home.
After adopting her from CAT, Olivia and Tibo named their new kitten Lizzy. Because of her pear shape, round face, and big pupils, they affectionately refer to her as “OwlKitty” too. After a cute cat video they posted went viral, Tibo—a professional filmmaker—began working his magic to edit Lizzy into famous scenes from movies and TV shows.
“We see what the cats do and how they act,” says Tibo. “We try to find a thing that’s relatable to everybody and then come up with a movie.” For example, they decided to edit Lizzy into a scene from Risky Business after thinking, “Cats always slide on the hardwood floor. What movie does that?”.
Nearly two years after that first video went viral, it’s no longer just Tibo and Olivia who’ve found and fallen in love with Lizzy. Her Instagram account has grown to over 700,000 followers, and each video on the OwlKitty YouTube Channel has millions of views. She is truly an Internet sensation!
Now, it’s time to put YOUR cat in the spotlight! Here’s what the raffle winner will receive:
The creative team behind OwlKitty will guide you in capturing video footage of your cat and then use their professional skills to edit your kitty into an existing OwlKitty clip of your choosing—more than 60 options available!
You’ll receive a video file of the completed clip for your personal use. Plus, OwlKitty will post the clip to their Instagram Stories (reaching a potential audience of over 700K!). Cat Adoption Team will also share the clip on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Raffle tickets are $50 each. Only 200 tickets will be sold. All sales support Cat Adoption Team (CAT). Raffle tickets are on sale online only until 5 p.m. (PT) on Nov. 13, 2020.

RAFFLE RULES
PRIZE: One (1) randomly selected winner will win a consultation with and final video from the creators of OwlKitty. Winner is responsible for providing appropriate video footage of their cat (OwlKitty team will advise you). OwlKitty creator will edit your footage into an existing OwlKitty clip (effectively replacing footage of OwlKitty with footage of your cat). You will receive a video file of the final edited clip.
RESTRICTIONS: Winner must choose from existing OwlKitty clips available at the time of consultation (to see clips visit: instagram.com/owl__kitty). Final product for personal use only. Consultation and editing to take place between 02/01/2021 to 12/31/2021. Offer expires 12/31/2021. No fair market value for prize of service; prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
