We are excited to announce that CAT’s board of directors has hired interim executive director, Elizabeth Gallimore.
Elizabeth is coming to CAT directly from another nonprofit interim executive director assignment with Beyond Toxics in Eugene. She has an HR background (and certification) and has been working in nonprofits for 12 years, with more than 35 years professional experience. She is a human resources and consulting leader with extensive experience partnering with organizations to assess culture, modernize business functions, develop talent strategies, and implement effective technology and reward solutions. She has held executive HR roles with ENGIE North America, Comfort Systems USA, ENSCO, Baker Hughes, and Chevron where she led global teams in HR and organizational transformation. Elizabeth is certified in Birkman and Hogan assessments, holds an MBA from the University of Houston, and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She currently provides HR and nonprofit leadership transition consulting in the Portland metro area and serves on the board of the League of Women Voters, Clark County. She describes herself as a creative non-profit and for-profit leader, with a track record of guiding organizations through growth. Her approach is to ensure a positive workplace culture, and maintain high standards of service as the organization is going through change.
Elizabeth and her husband, David have three adult children and have had multiple cats during their 30 years together. Currently, their frosted tabby, Remy, rules the house; he was rescued from an F150 truck wheel well in Texas.
Elizabeth will start work on July 14th, overlapping with Karen that week as she finishes up her time at CAT. The interim executive director, reporting to the board of directors, is tasked with ensuring the financial stability and operational success of the organization while facilitating a seamless leadership transition. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, managing community relations, and ensuring progress on goals, all while paving the way for the incoming permanent executive director.
Welcome, Elizabeth!
