Meet the People Meow Team Edition: Reva

At Cat Adoption Team, we’re lucky to have supporters like Reva— a founding Meow Team member. As a monthly supporter, Reva first committed to CAT’s work in 2006 and joined the Meow Team in 2010 to make her giving easy and consistent.

Reva has adopted four cats from CAT. After losing an elderly kitty on New Year’s Eve of 2017, Reva and her husband, Jerry, tried life without cats, but it was a difficult and drab 5 weeks. They visited CAT and met Steve, a tuxedo kitty who seemed aloof at first. That night, Reva woke up thinking about “that tuxedo cat” and knew he belonged with them. From that day on, Steve became a treasured part of the family. A few months later, Reva and Jerry added Rudy to their family. Sadly, Rudy passed away just two years later. Eydie, a demure lady-like kitten, joined the family a few months later. Reva came back again in 2022 to adopt Leo, an orange tabby who now keeps Steve busy while Eydie tolerates the boys’ rough playing.

“I just want to do my tiny part in ensuring CAT stays financially viable.”

Through her monthly giving, Reva helps make that possible— just like the 350+ other Meow Team members who provide steady, lifesaving support for cats and the people who love them.

Reva says CAT is special: “It’s clearly an excellent shelter, but not just a shelter—it’s the whole package, with admirably dedicated staff and volunteers.” She admires CAT’s thoughtful vision, and its role in a wider animal welfare network.
