CATnap Week: The Info You Need

A calico cat with white paws snoozes on her side on a tan blanket.

Our annual “CATnap” is upon us. We’re taking an organization-wide weeklong break—here’s what you need to know.

Cat Adoption Team cares for cats as well as people, so taking care of our hard-working staff is always a high priority. So once again, we’re doing something BIG to support our team.

From February 13-19, 2024, our shelter and CAT Thrift Store will be closed for our third annual CATnap Week. Fret not — our commitment to animal care won’t stop, even as we have a little break.

The majority of our cats and kittens will move out to foster care, but a small team of people will be at the shelter each day to care for any cats here and to keep our everyday work going. Most of our services and customer support will be reduced during the break. We’re making sure to keep an eye out for urgent CAT Helpline requests so that folks who need emergency support have options. And our Nine Lives Transfer Program partners are working with us to schedule arrivals around the break to keep saving as many lives as possible.

This week of rest will help us launch refreshed into more of our lifesaving work! Thank you for understanding. Thank you for your support. And thank you for saving lives with us.
