CAT is hiring a full-time shelter supervisor. The Shelter Supervisor helps ensure that the shelter and its staff operate in an efficient, productive, and financially responsible manner. This includes managing shelter associates and caregivers, maintaining the professional appearance and cleanliness of the shelter, providing excellent customer service (interacts with adopters, clients, fosters, and volunteers), overseeing the adoption programs and events, and caring for our cats. The Shelter Supervisor will work with all staff members and volunteers to help CAT succeed in its mission of adopting out healthy cats and kittens to loving homes. This position is also responsible for administering CAT’s adoption program, including coordinating Adoption Counselor training and updating adoption policies and procedures.
Applicants should be willing to work both weekend days (opportunity for future schedule adjustment possible). Previous shelter or veterinary experience is preferred but not required. A track record of excellent customer service and two years managerial/supervisory experience is required.
CAT is looking for a part-time veterinary assistant to join our hospital team! We are a full-service clinic with a large O.R. and labwork/radiographic capabilities, and we pride ourselves on providing high-quality medicine and surgery.
Duties include providing medical treatment to cats in our care; creating and maintaining computerized medical records; assisting with high-volume surgeries and recovery; providing client education; cleaning of surgical instruments, equipment, and kennels; and other duties to help further our mission of adopting healthy, happy cats and kittens into new homes!
Applicants should be willing to work at least one weekend day. Previous shelter or veterinary experience is preferred but not required. This is a fast-paced environment, so good time management skills are essential!
CAT is hiring a full-time Shelter Associate (31 hours/week). Typical schedule will be Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday,11am-7:30pm
The Shelter Associate is responsible for caring for cats and kittens in the shelter, including maintaining cleanliness of animal cages and free roam rooms, feeding, and helping the public (including adopters, clients, foster families, and volunteers). He/she will perform janitorial duties and maintain general shelter cleanliness. He/she will work with all staff members and volunteers to help CAT succeed in its mission of adopting out healthy cats and kittens to loving homes. Depending on the assigned shifts, the shelter associate will spend roughly 30% of the time taking care of the cats and kittens in the shelter, roughly 20% of the time performing janitorial duties, and roughly 50% of the time helping the public either in-person at the shelter or by phone.
Qualified applicants will have High School diploma or equivalent. Prior shelter/animal control and/or customer service experience preferred.
