Foster Coordinator information

Find everything your organization’s foster coordinator will need to make his/her job easier. Below are links to documents that provide a way to track your foster parents, prepare baby bag tags, and includes detailed job descriptions for staff and volunteers.

About the documents in this section:

• Baby Bag documents - to provide your volunteers with the tools they will need to make a difference

Foster Parent Volunteer information

Documents that will help your foster parent volunteers be successful. 

The FAQ sheet is to put on your website so volunteers can see what your foster program is about and if it is right for them. This is also is in the foster manual.

The Highs and Lows of Fostering document is what should be sent to prospective volunteers when they indicate that they would like to go to foster training. Make sure they read these and understand the expectations before you invite them to foster training.

Marketing your foster kittens

Marketing will help you find homes for your foster kittens. Social media is a terrific tool to raise awareness of the kittens. Kittens also tug at the heart strings. Use their stories to create compelling fundraising letters.

Congratulations on taking the first step towards saving more lives.

We have a rocking foster program and we want you to have one as well.

Thanks to a grant by PetSmart Charities, we were able to put all of our resources down on paper and provide them for you to download and use as you see fit.

You will notice that there are two versions of the same information (one for Maternity and one for Neo Natal). If you never send pregnant cats to foster care, you should download the Neo Natal version.

The documents are separated by categories so you can find what you are looking for easily.
