Interested in volunteering? Attend CAT’s New Volunteer Orientation at our Sherwood Shelter! The session will last approximately 90 minutes and will include information about the wide variety of volunteer opportunities CAT has available.

You do not need to RSVP. A link to the volunteer application will be provided at orientation. Parking available in the shelter parking lot; ample street parking also available.

Children must be at least 12 years old to volunteer; volunteers under 16 years old must volunteer alongside a parent/guardian during every shift.

CAT at Crafty Wonderland

CAT is excited to be participating in the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Spring Sale!

This is not your grandmother’s craft sale! This amazing event features more than 200 artists selling beautiful handcrafted artisan items including artwork, jewelry, clothing, and so much more. Goodie bags available to the first 200 shoppers! Plus, CAT will be on hand with an adorable kittens waiting to meet you!

Please note that kitten pre-adoptions can take place at the event, but kittens are not yet old enough for spay/neuter surgery and still have two weeks or more before they will be ready to go home with you.

Spaycation: FREE Spay/Neuter Day

Fix every kitty in your house for FREE on June 9 at the Cat Adoption Team!*

*Appointments must be made in advance, and a limited number of spaces are available. For cat-owners on public assistance in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, or Clark County. Call (503) 925-8903 to see if you qualify and to schedule your appointment.

Add a low-cost health and wellness package! The following packages are available at CAT at the time of spay/neuter surgery:

Bronze Package: $10       
  FVRCP vaccination
  Nail trim
  Flea treatment

Silver Package: $25       
Includes all Bronze items, plus:
  Microchip w/ registration
  Ear cleaning and ear mite treatment (if needed)

Gold Package: $40       
Includes all Bronze & Silver items, plus:
  FeLV vaccination
  Rabies vaccination

A la carte items may be purchased individually or in addition to a package:
  Rabies vaccination - $10
  Microchip with registration - $10
  FeLV/FIV test - $25

All spay/neuter surgeries are performed by qualified, licensed veterinarians. All animals receive a brief physical exam prior to surgery and are attended to by veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants during surgery. All surgical patients receive pain medications before surgery, and you may elect to purchase post-operative pain medication at an additional cost (costs are based on weight and cannot be estimated prior to the exam).

CAT is only able to perform surgery for owned cats and kittens. If you would like to make appointments for a stray or feral cat(s), please call (503) 797-2606

CAT at the Portland Rose Festival CityFair

Join CAT at our Community Booth during the second weekend (June 11-12) of CityFair as we celebrate the Portland Rose Festival!

After you stop by our booth, enjoy all that the CityFair has to offer. The weekend will be jam-packed with music on the Rose City Stage and the Bridgetown stage, along with A Walk on the Wild Side exotic animals, arts and crafts in the Kids Zone, and cool artifacts in the Rose Festival Museum. Grab Portland Brewing Company’s Rose Festival Brew or a local cocktail from the Eastside Distilling Lounge and enjoy Rose Festival after dark!

It’s CAT’s annual KITTEN PALOOZA - the kitten adoption event of the year!

We’ll have 100 or more adorable fuzzballs waiting to meet you at CAT’s shelter in Sherwood. If you’re even thinking about adding a kitten or adult cat to your family, you won’t want to miss this adoption event! Plus, “supersize” your kitten by also adopting an adult cat (12+ months) and the adult cat adoption fee is FREE!

Kitten Palooza Activities:
- Kitten and cat adoptions
- 25% off all cat trees
- Games & activities
- Coloring station for kids
- Ice cream treats (from 11 am - 3 pm)

We’ll open early at 10 am to give you extra time to find the kitty of your dreams. CAT closes at 6, and adoptions end at 5:30 pm.
