Waiting for a home (by KLamm)

Location:

Portland-area PetSmart locations and Tualatin Petco

Description:

Cat Adoption Team kitties are onsite every day at PetSmarts across the area and at the Tualatin Petco.

CAT volunteers are there over the weekend to help you adopt your kitty right from the outreach center.

Month-Long Cat Food Drive

Description:

Throughout June, CAT is urging everyone to drop off a bag of unopened, unexpired cat food or litter to help stock CAT’s cat food bank.

The food bank provides food and litter to cat owners experiencing financial trouble during this down economy. It makes a huge difference because they don’t have to choose between paying the electric bill and feeding their companion cat.

Read more about the food bank.

Thanks for your continued support.

Description:

Fresh from Broadway where it was nominated for ten Tony Awards in 2007, the musical Grey Gardens tells the hilarious and heartbreaking story of two indomitable women, Edith Bouvier Beale and her adult daughter “Little Edie,” the eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Once among the brightest names on the social register, these two women became East Hampton’s most notorious recluses, living in a dilapidated 28-room mansion with their 52 cats. From the glittering high society of 1940s New York to the tabloid headlines that rocked the Kennedy clan in 1970s, Grey Gardens takes you inside the fascinating world of “America’s royalty.”

At Portland Center Stage from May 26 through June 21.

Today, CAT will have cats for adoption and information about the shelter in the PCS lobby.

Drop off a bag of cat food in the PCS cat food donation bin.
