You will hand your pet over to a CAT volunteer animal handler who will take your pet to the examination area. A veterinarian will perform the injection and your pet will be returned to you by the animal handler.
Did you know that only 2 - 5% of lost cats and 16% of lost dogs are ever returned to their owner?
Make sure your pet comes back to you by updating your dog’s or cat’s ID tag with your cell number.
A microchip is a permanent secondary form of identification. Shelters and veterinary clinics can scan your pet for a chip. With the chip number, they can retrieve your contact information and return your pet.
Microchips are tiny capsules injected painlessly under an animal’s coat. Each chip contains a unique ID number that can be read by a microchip scanner and matched with owner information in a comprehensive database.
Microchips are effective and safe, and provide excellent backup identification for pets.
