CAT’s mission is to work with our community to save the lives of homeless, sick and injured cats and kittens by offering shelter, adoption, foster, hospice, and veterinary services to end needless feline euthanasia in our community.

$10 neuter

Description:

If you own a fertile cat, November is the month to have him or her altered before you have unwanted litters this spring.

The Cat Adoption Team is hosting its Fall Feline Fix-a-Thon and offering subsidized spay/neuter surgeries. Qualified* families or individual cat owners can have their female cat or kitten spayed for $20 and male cat or kitten neutered for $10.

Over 22,000 cats were euthanized in shelters across Oregon last year – spaying/neutering cats is the most effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats.

  • Call (503) 925-8903 to schedule a Fix-a-Thon appointment; call now as available appointment times may fill up quickly
  • Appointments available between November 3 – 28, 2008
  • Surgeries performed by veterinarians at CAT’s full service feline hospital located at CAT’s shelter - 14175 SW Galbreath Dr., Sherwood
  • Cats/kittens must be 10 weeks old; 2½ pounds; and healthy
  • No feral cats please (contact the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon for assistance)
  • Clients may also receive a bag of cat food from CAT’s cat food bank
  • Clients will receive ‘after’ surgery care instructions

Individuals who may not qualify for the subsidized fees, can utilize the reduced price coupon offered by the Oregon Spay/Neuter Fund and available on the Cat Adoption Team website.

*Qualified means the person or family in financial need who may be receiving governmental or public assistance.
